Ask any instructional designer (ID) how long it takes to create eLearning, and the ID will dutifully point you toward research by the Chapman Alliance study, which breaks down the time requirements for each step of the design and development process.

Chapman says that, for a Level 2 eLearning course created from scratch (no existing content), it takes 184 hours of ID design/development work to create one hour of leanring--or a little more than a month.

Using AI, I created a Level 2 course from scratch in 23 minutes!

This is a 4-part series on AI learning development. I only take on 30 learners at a time so that I can provide additional coaching as needed. (This is not just a self-paced eLearning course where you pay for it and are on your own. Because many instructional designers may be new to AI, I want to make sre I provide the hands-on, one-on-one coaching that you might need.

The course also contains:
-
A cheat sheet of more than 100 instructional-design-specific AI prompts to ensure you get the right content in the right format.
-
AI-driven course templates.
-
Video walk-throughs of how to use AI promptingh in Midjourney and Lexica to get specific image results--including how to create images to be reused in various scenarios.
-
A video explainer on how to use AI to edit a one-hour podcast in under 45 seconds! (Yes, it takes out the "ums" and "ahs" and uses the right video cuts based on the speaker.
-
A step-by-step cheat sheet on how to use AI to create and edit videos with lifelike characters, audio, sound effects, and more!
-
An AI template to create learner-based games in less than 10 minutes.
-
A commnunity of IDs using AI to help share the knowledge!

In Part 1 of this series of using AI to create eLearning, I start with using AI to do the first three steps of Chapman's process: assesssment and research, instructional design (including learning objectives), and storyboarding. I walk you through exactly what I did for one biotech client to create a course on clinical trials using AI.
course also has AI templates and more than 100 tested prompting codes to get the results you want on the first try!)
Part 1: Using AI to do the research, instructional design and storyboarding.
Part 1A: How to use AI to identify gaps in a client's existing content.
Part 2: Using AI to create videos and podcasts for your course.
Part 3: Using AI to create course graphics and images.
Part 4: Using AI to create a realistic voice over in seconds per module!
