I have a very checkered past. And I’m a bit of a professional mutt.

My path to writing, entrepreneurship, instructional design and presentation consulting took a circuitous path. Here are some highlights:

•News anchor/reporter/producer for several broadcast TV stations.

​

•Left news to try to carve a path to “educational entrepreneurship.”

​

•Created a performance software app that I sold to a multi-billion-dollar HR consulting company.

​

•Wrote a book on mass appeal that was published by an imprint of HarperCollins. It was listed as “One of the Top Ten Business Books to read” by The Houston Business Journal.

​

•Created an educational mobile app that won first place (beating out one created by Google designers!) in a training industry competition.

•Created an educational gamification portal from the ground up that won first place in Training Magazine’s gamification competition.

•Granted the Women With Vision award by the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois for helping attorneys win high-stakes court cases with my neuroscience and behavioral economics presentation  techniques.

•Provided debate-prep and presentation skills coaching that helped three national politicians win their come-from-behind elections.
